This article is not about the removal or disassembly of an excavator's final drive or pump. When reassembling a final drive unit, this is only a kind reminder regarding proper bolt torque settings.

Purchase a metric torque wrench if you don't have one! This eliminates the costly errors that result from utilizing charts to determine bolt torque parameters.
